There is absolutely nothing better than having a day to celebrate with friends and family, kids and adults. For July 4th, we had a day into night party at our home. My daughter, Brynne, pitched in with her patriotic and essential DIY bug repellant candles from POPSUGAR (you can use these for any occasion, just switch up the colors!).

This is a fun and easy holiday to decorate for since the color palette is pretty much set :). And, we take off from there. The red tablecloths and navy/white striped table runners from Bateson’s Boutique provide the perfect backdrop for the decor. Custom natural linen napkins with red and blue stitched edges are from KSTYLEDESIGN accented with decorative star napkin rings from Pomegranatree. A vintage Coca Cola crate from LitteRedHenVINTAGE serves as a great storage container for condiments and the other festive enhancements added to the overall theme.

A traditional 4th of July menu follows a certain pattern, but working with What a Dish Catering in Summit, NJ, we took it to the next level.

Add a great mix of family and friends, and we had the all American party going.

And, last but certainly not least – S’mores and Sparklers!!!!

Now I just need to savor the rest of the summer which always seems to go by in a blink.

Happy Summer!!!
